**Job Title: Product Designer ( Plastic Products )**

**Location**: Bukit Mertajam

**Job Type**: Full-time / Part-time / Contract
**Department**: Product Design / Manufacturing
**Reports To**: Head of Product Development / Production Manager

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Design and develop new plastic and acrylic-based products (e.g., displays, organizers, signage, holders, stands).
- Produce technical drawings, 3D models, and prototypes using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Rhino).
- Understand properties and behavior of acrylic/plastic materials to ensure structural integrity and aesthetic appeal.
- Work closely with production team to ensure designs are feasible for CNC cutting, laser cutting, molding, and assembly.
- Revise and improve existing product designs for better usability, durability, and cost-efficiency.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and clients to understand design requirements.
- Monitor trends in material innovation and competitor products to keep our offerings competitive.
- Prepare clear documentation and material specifications for production handover.

**Requirements**:

- Diploma or Degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- 2+ years experience in designing plastic or acrylic-based products.
- Proficiency in CAD software and Adobe Illustrator/CorelDRAW (for laser cut layouts).
- Good understanding of fabrication techniques (e.g., bending, laser cutting, joining, bonding).
- Strong visual sense and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Familiarity with fabrication machines (laser cutter, CNC router, UV printer).
- Knowledge of material suppliers and sourcing of acrylic/plastic sheets.
