**JOB TITLE: PLSQL Developer (Insurance)**

**PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES**:
**Accountability**:

- Analyze and develop the enhancement to the system to meet the new user requirement
- Ensure the system performance is at acceptable level.

**Supporting Activities**:

- Analyze and identify the root cause
- Perform program changes/ Correction
- Perform unit testing
- Supporting User Acceptance Testing
- Implementing fixes in production environment.
- Prepare the impact analysis of the new requirement
- Perform unit testing
- Supporting user acceptance testing
- Implementing enhancements in production environment
- Obtained sign-off approval from users prior to system implementation
- Analyze monthly system performance report
- Coordinate with MSS to maintain stability
- Coordinate routine system health check
- Coordinate routine housekeeping.

**Outcome / deliverables**:

- Issues fixed and implemented in production within the stipulated timeline.
- Enhancement implemented in production within the stipulated timeline
- To comply with SDLC, Change Management and Regulatory requirement
- Minimal system downtime.

**Challenges**:

- Simulate and reproduce the system issues to identify the root cause.
- Business requirements are not clearly defined
- Rework due to change/additional requirement
- UAT is dependent on user availability
- Supporting the UAT without a proper definition of testing scope and testing scenario
- Dependency on MSS.

**Education**:
**Qualification**:

- Level of Education: Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology
- Years of Experience: At least 4 years
- Discipline/Related Field: Insurance, Accounting.

**Competencies**:

- Familiar with SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle database and Java J2EE development tool
- Familiar with Solaris operating system
- Familiar with Oracle technology component
- Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both speaking and writing
- Possess programming skills with strong analytical and systems design experience
- Team player and a quick learner
- Good communication skills (oral and written) both in Bahasa Malaysia and English.

**Experience**:

- 3 - 5 years’ Experience in Life Insurance/Family Takaful business operations (ideal), financial services industry and customer service environment.
- 3 - 5 Years Strong human relations’ skills to interface with Business users and staff at all levels within the organization and to deal with external vendors.

Pay: RM9,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month

**Experience**:

- PLSQL Developer: 2 years (preferred)
- Insurance, Accounting.: 2 years (preferred)
- Solaris operating system: 2 years (preferred)
- Oracle technology component: 1 year (preferred)
