Content Producer

**Job Purpose**:
The role is responsible for creating unique, engaging written and video content for online and social publication in accordance with iCar's content strategy. Secondly, the role will assume all accountability for conducting, managing and organising regular test drives and reviews for the team.
**Key Accountabilities**:
**Content Creation**
- To intimately understand the target (user) and what they want and to create written and video content based on the product and user needs
- To keep abreast of automotive trends in Malaysian and the region to ensure this is communicated in written and video content delivery
- To produce online written and video content that is in-line with the iCar ‘Buying and Selling' content strategy
- To ensure all content created is in-line with the editorial tone and voice and direction of the team
- To be responsible for developing and maintaining the team test drive calendar to ensure that the most important makes and models are reviewed
- To ensure that all written and video content is written to the highest standards and that no grammatical, spelling or syntax errors are found in any published work, in print or online. No plagiarising.
**Content Engagement (Developing content that attracts users and drives traffic)**
- To ensure that all content is published in-line with user behaviour, which means producing timely (hourly, daily) and relevant content (what is important to our consumers)
- To create written and video content that increases overall page views on the site and across all our social channels
- To create engaging written and video content that results in increased UGC-interaction such as comments, time spent on the site, increasing the number of ‘Likes' etc.
**Content Promotion (Leveraging expertise and relationships to grow the brand)**
- To ensure that all content contains SEO best practices and key words to strengthen and maximise the site's organic traffic
- To actively promote the brand and content via social media such as Facebook, Twitter etc.
- To ensure that all content is written in an engaging manner so that it gets comments, shares and ‘Likes' from our users
- To continuously build the brand and our relationships with clients, agencies and industry stakeholders through event attendance, participating in networking opportunities, etc.
**Stakeholder Management**
- Ensure open and clear communication with all members of the Media team, inter-department teams in Malaysia and also regional teams across the Group
- Champion the Carsome Values
- Take personal ownership and responsibility for ensuring professional conduct and delivering an outstanding level of service to our clients, agencies and partners at all times
- Collaborate with the Management, undertake any other duties or projects that may be reasonably required by the Management or that may be reasonably foreseen through proactive role engagement and deal with matters arising in a timely and effective manner
**Requirements**:
- A very high level of understanding on mass market cars, both new and used
- Solid experience in online writing (ideally: 4+ years)
- Strong connections to car manufacturers, PR agencies and other relevant automotive bodies is good but not necessary
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced, high-performance driven environment
- Excellent command English, with strong grammar and able to different writing styles for different content format and audiences
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Open to learning, using online CMS systems, Photoshop and social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Tik-tok
- Understanding of SEO is a plus
- Is creative and able to think-out-of the box
- Excellent organisation, time management and communication skills
- Very high standard of accuracy, presentation and attention to detail
