(Remote) SEO Specialist

**Role**
As an **SEO Specialist**, you will develop and implement local SEO strategies to improve the company's local listings in search engine results pages. You will conduct website audits to identify technical SEO issues, analyze competitor SEO strategies, and conduct keyword research to drive organic traffic. Also, optimising content for search engines, collaborate with other teams, and track and report on SEO metrics.
**Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement local SEO strategies to improve the visibility of the company's local listings in search engine results pages.
- Conduct website audits to identify technical SEO issues such as crawl errors, broken links, and duplicate content, and implement solutions to address them.
- Analyze competitor SEO strategies and make recommendations for improvement to stay ahead of the competition.
- Conduct keyword research to identify high-value keywords and opportunities to drive organic traffic.
- Optimize website content for search engines, including writing and editing website copy, meta descriptions, and tags.
- Analyze website traffic and search engine rankings to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor search engine algorithms and trends to ensure our website is compliant with the latest best practices.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive link building strategy to increase website authority and drive organic traffic.
- Collaborate with content creators, developers, and other teams to ensure SEO best practices are integrated throughout the website, digital assets and aligned with the overall SEO strategy
- Track and report on SEO performance metrics, including traffic, rankings, and conversion rates.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends and best practices and make recommendations for ongoing improvements.
- Manage SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, etc.
**Qualifications and Skills**
**Technical Skills**:
- In-depth knowledge of search engine algorithms and ranking factors
- Familiarity with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, etc
- Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting
- Understanding of website architecture, server configurations, and content management systems (CMS)
- Knowledge of on-page optimization techniques such as keyword research, content optimization, and meta tags
- Experience with off-page optimization techniques such as link building and social media marketing
- Familiarity with website analytics such as Google analytics
- Experience with A/B testing and website optimization tools such as Google Optimize or Optimizely
**Interpersonal Skills**:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners
- Analytical and data-driven mindset to make informed decisions and measure the effectiveness of SEO strategies
- Ability to think creatively and strategically to identify new opportunities for growth
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness of SEO initiatives
- Strong project management and organizational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Flexibility and adaptability to stay up-to-date with changes in search engine algorithms and best practices
- Discipline to follow established SEO guidelines and protocols
- Strong execution skills to ensure that SEO initiatives are implemented accurately and on time
- Strong task management skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in SEO with a proven track record of driving organic traffic growth.
- Strong understanding of SEO best practices, including keyword research, on-page optimization, link building, and technical SEO.
- Experience with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMRush, Ahrefs, etc.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to inform decision-making.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with other teams.
- Passion for SEO and staying up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices.
**Salary**: From RM5,200.00 per month
