JR56731 Accountant I (FA)

This is a varied and challenging position and ideally would suit a qualified accountant looking for experience of a fast-paced multinational environment. The role is expected to evolve rapidly through streamlining and automating of processes. As a Financial Accountant, you will focus on month end close activities and fixed assets accounting for Micron Companies.

Responsibilities and Tasks (include but are not limited to):

- Manage day-to-day accounting activities, focusing on fixed asset accounting including lease accounting
- Perform month-end close activities including preparing journal entries
- Review and track fixed asset project costs following policy and guideline
- Prepare and present monthly account reconciliations, variance analysis and ad hoc reports
- Ensure compliances to accounting GAAPs, policies and SOX controls
- Support internal and external audit
- Support business partners and finance analysts on fixed assets related matters
- Drive process improvement and automation to streamline fixed assets processes
- Provide guidance and training to internal customers and peers
- Ad hoc task as assigned

Key Skill/Competencies
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- SAP experience highly desirable
- Experience in Blackline, Ariba and Concur preferred
- Experience in data analysis & result oriented
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to act and operate independently with mínimal supervision / direction
- Ability to meet deadlines in a rapidly changing environment

Education & Experience
- Qualified accountant (CA, ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or Degree in Accounting/Finance.
- Fresh graduate or 1 year accounting or finance experience
- Shared service experience and/or audit experience preferred
