Finance Manager

General Purpose: You are accountable for the accounting operations of the company group and its subsidiaries, to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risks, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with company objectives. Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities: Management Â- Maintain a document system of accounting policies and procedures Â- Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives Â- Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives Â- Develop financial and tax strategies Â- Manage the capital request and budgeting processes Â- Develop financial performance measures that support the company's strategic direction Operations Â- Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team Â- Oversee the financial operations of subsidiary companies and foreign operations Â- Oversee the company's transaction processing systems Â- Oversee employee benefit plans, with emphasis on maximizing a cost-effective benefits package Â- Maintain customer and supplier filing system Â- Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed Â- Maintain the chart of accounts and ensure an orderly accounting filing system Â- Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions Reporting Â- Issue timely and complete financial statements Â- Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report Â- Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations Â- Calculate and issue financial metrics Â- Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts Â- Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management Â- Provide for a system of management cost reports Â- Provide financial analyses as needed, for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations Â- Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit Risks Management Â- Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants Â- Comply with local, state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings Â- Maintain appropriate insurance coverage Â- Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies Â- Report risk issues to the audit committee or the directors Â- Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations Funding Â- Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts Â- Arrange for debts and equity financing Â- Develop and measure Investment and/or expenditure strategies Requirements: 1. Bachelor Degree in Finance/Accountancy/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent 2. Minimum 4 years working experience in similar capacity, and having working in audit/accounting firm will be an added advantage 3. Knowledge in consolidation and financial reporting 4. Experience in group consolidation is highly preferred 5. Must have hands on experience with taxation, auditing, consolidated account and operation matters 6. Able to communicate (spoken & written) in Cantonese will be added advantage
