Merchandising Manager

Our Merchandising team plays a crucial role in creating a shopping experience that reflects our commitment to food equality. We are not just merchandising products; we are carefully curating a selection that makes quality food affordable for everyone. From in-store displays to partnerships with local suppliers, you’ll be part of a strategy that supports families, local businesses, and communities across Malaysia and Southeast Asia.

The Merchandising Manager will work closely with teams across the business to create innovative and impactful strategies that put food equality at the heart of our operations. You’ll be driving change and ensuring that our products meet the needs of every community we serve.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Lead the Merchandising Team**:Manage and inspire a team that is responsible for creating and executing merchandising strategies across various categories.
- **Own Key Product Categories**:Take ownership of specific product lines, including managing vendor relationships, curating assortments, and forecasting demand.
- **Strategic Vendor Partnerships**:Work closely with suppliers and vendors to develop exclusive products that align with our vision of food equality and high-quality standards.
- **Collaborate Across Teams**: Partner with Marketing, Operations, and Sales teams to identify emerging trends and optimize product displays to drive sales and improve the customer experience.
- **Data-Driven Insights**: Use detailed analytics and customer insights to drive the commercial performance of our product assortment, continually improving product placement and category growth.
- **Global Campaigns**:Collaborate with marketing teams to develop special edition, exclusive products for global and local campaigns that reflect our commitment to nourishing communities.
- **Product Lifecycle Management**:Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from initial forecasting through to product end-of-life decisions.
- **Nurture Relationships**: Develop and grow productive internal and external relationships with key business partners, including suppliers, product teams, and marketing teams.

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- 5-7 years experience and preferably someone from the food or FMCG industry.
- Direct experience selling to Lotus, Speedmart 99, Aeon, Jaya Grocer, DKSH, GBA and etc.
- Proven ability to manage high-performing teams in dynamic environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel.
- Ability to develop and lead senior-level relationships with external vendors and internal teams.
- Experience in managing merchandising for multiple locations and understanding regional market differences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

**Job Type**: Permanent

Pay: RM9,500.00 - RM12,000.00 per month
