Project Manager cum BA (IFRS)

The immediate focus is to be involved in the Regional IFRS17 project to implement IFRS17 in the 3 countries - Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.
- Review and advise in planning, directing, controlling, safe guarding, risk evaluation, budgeting, feasibility study, development, maintenance and implementation of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) activities
- Act as a Business Analyst lead role to assign work and guide the team of Business analysts in completing project tasks during each SDLC phase.
- Manage and coordinate the activities of a team of business analysts and developers based in Malaysia during the project phase, and subsequently maintenance and support staff during BAU phase.
- Manage and monitor project implementation to ensure quality delivery that realize business benefits within approved project scope, time and budget
- Together with the solutioning vendor based in Singapore, work closely with the key stakeholders or users in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia to close business or technical issues or gaps to ensure completeness and totality in IFRS17 solution.
- Control and manage resources across project workstreams in Malaysia.
- Prepare RFP, assess vendor proposals and recommend solution which is best met business needs and objectives
- Ensure system development processes and system outputs are conforming to regulation requirements and guidelines Assist in developing department business project plan and budget
- Graduate in Computer Science, preferably PMP or CITPM certified
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in IT in insurance business
- Working experience or good understanding of IFRS17
- Track record of managing regional/cross countries projects
- Strong communication skills and good written English
- Strong project management skills.
- Good planning and organisation skills.
- Proactive and able to multitask across different tasks.
- Possess insurance (Life, General, Group) domain knowledge is an advantage
- Ability to work in remote environments and connecting with people cross countries
- Good analytical and communication skills
- Strong business and IT SDLC fundamentals to support the above key duties and responsibilities
- Knowledge in Agile methodologies
