Accounting Assistant Manager

We are Mineral Consulting Services - a back office service helping crypto startup servicing different clients across Asia Pacific. We are currently looking to expand in Malaysia and we are seeking a meticulous and efficient Senior Accountant. We help businesses in the Web3 space to set up their accounting and bookkeeping systems daily so that they focus on running their business.

We are looking for an Accounting Assistant Manager.

**Responsibilities**:

- Financial Record Keeping: Accurately record financial transactions adhering to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Reconciliation: Conduct bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial statements, mindful of each country's financial practices.
- GST and Tax Reporting: Assist in preparing and filing Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns and support in tax preparation for compliance regulations
- Client Interaction: Engage with clients to gather financial information, clarify accounting queries, and provide updates, ensuring excellent client service.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to clients' legal and regulatory requirements in financial practices, and stay updated on changes in financial laws and regulations.
- Process Improvement: Participate in enhancing internal accounting processes and controls, with a focus on efficiency and compliance.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the generation of financial reports like balance sheets and income statements.
- Bookkeeping: To ensure all invoices and journals are posted to the accounting system accurately and on a timely basis.To maintain proper records and filing system. To handle office clerical and general duties in administration and support in HR management
- Ad-Hoc: To assist in other assignments that are assigned by the superiors

**Qualifications**
- Someone who is a keen learner and can work independently
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Accreditation from professional body qualifications like ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or similar bodies is a plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero), Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Strong grasp of accounting principles, financial reporting, and GST regulations, tax filings in Malaysia and Singapore
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team, with a focus on client service.
- Proven leadership experience and can demonstrate effective skills to drive success and cultivate a collaborative work environment
- 2 to 4 years relevant working experiences is preferred in a big 4 or accountancy consulting firms
- Fluent in both writing and speaking English (Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia or other languages would be an added advantage)
- Enthusiastic about working closely with clients in e-commerce and crypto where innovation is required
- Willing to travel as and when required
