**Key Responsibilities**:
**General Ledger (GL)**:
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate documentation.
- Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data to identify trends, discrepancies, or errors.
**Accounts Payable (AP)**:
- Process vendor invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
- Verify invoice approvals, PO matching, and correct coding of expenses.
- Prepare and execute payment runs (cheques, transfers, online banking).
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
- Maintain updated vendor files and records.
- Monitor aging reports and ensure timely payments to avoid penalties or service disruptions.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification is a plus.
- 1-3 years of experience in general ledger and/or accounts payable roles.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Advanced Excel skills
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
