**Summary**

An experienced and well-rounded human resources professional to join our organisation as People

and Culture Director.

This is a strategic executive role responsible for all aspects of the organisation’s human resources
functions. The Director, People & Culture drives the World Scout Bureau’s culture to be an

innovative and flexible global organisation driven by values that offer our people opportunities to

do rewarding and fulfilling work.

development.

The People and Culture director will also be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of

organisation’s policies and managing internal operations and human resource systems.

**Main executive tasks**:
in fulfilment of the overall responsibility of the job, the People and Culture Director, will undertake,

among other duties:

- Oversee the effectiveness and efficiency of all the human resource operations across all WSB

Support Centres worldwide.
- Ensure transparent and timely implementation of human resource and administrative

policies, processes, and communication and providing regular updates and reporting on key

human resource processes and initiatives to the senior management team.
- Minimise risk and protect the interests of staff and the Bureau by ensuring compliance with

governmental laws and HRM legal regulations in WSB locales worldwide.
- Provide support to internal and external auditing processes in human resources and

administration, as required, under the guidance of the Global Director Corporate Services.
- Coordinate with Regional Directors and with the oversight of the Global Director, Corporate

Services the development and monitoring of the annual human resources budget

preparation. This includes manpower resource planning, employee recognition, and awards

programmes.
- Implement the WSB’s Compensation and Benefits process ensuring consistency job grade,

remuneration structure, pay policies, and oversee the pay processes within the Bureau on a

strategic level.
- Provide oversight to ensure the flawless and timely execution of monthly payroll

management in all WSB Support Centres worldwide. Support finance in the preparation of

budget, payroll journals, and other reports.
- Maintain knowledge of trends and global employment trends in the human resources

industry, providing strategic guidance in this area to WSB’s leadership.
- Proactively promote a workplace culture across all WSB Support Centres worldwide of cross
- cultural communication, including actively seeking out new perspectives and ideas that

promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion within the workplace.
- Coordinate the implementation of transformation processes and projects related to the

“Future of Work” within the WSB Support Centres worldwide.
- Lead ongoing community of practice for line managers in WSB Support Centres worldwide.
- Further build out a solid team structure for the management of Human Resources, People &
Culture across all WSB Support Centre worldwide.
- Stepping up of digitalisation and automation of human resource process.
- Take on ad hoc assignments as required by WSB’s senior leadership.

**Key responsibilities

- Develops and implements a comprehensive human resources strategy that aligns the WSB’s

goals and objectives.
- Provides guidance and direction to the human resource teams to ensure effective execution

of HR operations and initiatives across all WSB Support Centres worldwide
- Collaborates with the executive leadership to align human resource objectives with overall

business goals.
- Ensures that the organisation remains competitive and compliant.

2. **Talent management**:

- Develops and implements strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talents across the

organisation.
- Implements programmes and initiatives to enhance the employer brand and promote a

3. **Organisational effectiveness**:

- Identifies and drives initiatives to enhance organisational effectiveness, culture, and

employee experience.
- Performs organisational reviews for efficiencies and effectiveness.
- Designs and implements change management programmes to support organisational growth

and transformation.

4. **Performance management and continuous learning**:

- Oversees the effective implementation of the global performance management system.
- Provides guidance and support to managers across all WSB Support Centres worldwide in

delivering effective and constructive performance feedback.
