Network Infrastructure Manager

You will be responsible for the planning, designing, operation, and project management of our network tech refresh, digital network security and transformation projects supporting the University's Teaching, Learning and Research (TLR) activities.

**Responsibilities**:
Plan, design, implement, and manage the University's network infrastructure, including 5G, Wi-Fi 6, and secure edge network technologies, using state-of-the-art technology.
- You will be responsible for assessing the University's network needs, selecting appropriate technologies, and deploying and maintaining the network infrastructure. This includes ensuring that the network is secure, reliable, and scalable.

Participate in the design and architecture of network infrastructure for new buildings and refresh those in existing buildings.
- You will collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to ensure that the network infrastructure meets the University's needs, is cost-effective, and is future-proofed.

Manage IT resources, including contracted manpower and vendors, to ensure that they meet the University's expectations and Service Level Agreement (SLA) to ensure high availability of network infrastructure.
- This involves tracking and controlling the performance of IT resources, including vendors, to ensure that they deliver high-quality services and meet agreed SLAs.
- This involves setting performance goals, tracking performance metrics and taking appropriate measures to ensure that the SLA is met. You will work closely with vendors and other IT resources to ensure that the SLAs are aligned with the University's expectations.

Manage the University's LAN and wireless network.
- You will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining the University's LAN and wireless network infrastructure. This includes troubleshooting and resolving network issues, ensuring network security and providing technical support to end-users.
- You will identify and implement appropriate tools and technologies to ensure that the network is running smoothly and to detect and resolve any issues before they become critical.

Maintain and update policy, process and procedure documentation.
- This involves ensuring that the University's network policies, processe and procedures are up-to-date, accurate, and readily available to end-users. You will work closely with other teams to ensure that documentation is aligned with the University's goals and objectives.
- You will be responsible for educating end-users on the policy, process, and procedure use of network infrastructure. This includes developing training materials, conducting training sessions and providing ongoing support to end-users.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Cisco Network Associate (CCNA) or Network Professional (CCNP) certification.
- ITIL foundation certification.
- At least 8 years of experience in IT, with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in systems and network administration.
- Strong knowledge of network management systems, firewalls, wireless, and internet technology.
- Knowledge of network standards, protocols, and technologies, including 5G, HSRP, VRRP, OSPF, 802.11, and QoS.
- Knowledge of network function virtualization (NFV) and software-defined networking (SDN), including OpenFlow, Netconf, etc.
- Experience in network automation scripting, Ansible, Python, Perl, REST API.
- Hands-on experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to configure wired and wireless networks for fast, secure, reliable operation.
- Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
- Good planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills

**Job Type**: Contract
Contract length: 24 months

**Salary**: RM13,500.00 - RM24,000.00 per month
