**Job Purpose**
Managing the preparation and reporting of the Affin Bank Group impairment assessment covering both the collective and individually assessed loan/ financing impairment in compliance with MFRS 9 and other regulatory requirements.
**Responsibilities**
- Oversight over the SAS MFRS 9 system to ensure the ECL provisioning computation and reports deliverable are accurate and timely to the internal and external stakeholders.
- Responsible on maintenance of implemented model templates, calculation flows, business rules and model implementation platform in the MFRS 9 system to ensure all business rules are appropriate and up to date.
- Perform model change simulation (including MEV simulation) and work closely with model developer on the model recalibration exercise as well as with IT on model implementation in MFRS 9 system.
- Work closely with business on the ECL overlay adjustment to ensure the ECL overlay are computed accurate and timely.
- Perform ECL simulation runs for the purpose of ECL stress testing, forecasting, budgeting and business decision making. To perform back testing on ECL provisioning computed by the system to ensure accuracy.
- Oversee and responsible on User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system enhancement or changes in scripts/ extraction rules.
- Oversee the Repayment Assistance data compilation from Business Unit for submission to the Management.
- Oversee the modification loss computation and EIR adjustment.
- Prepare the MFRS 9 related papers for tabling to Committee/ Board as and when required.
**Skills/Knowledge**
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or any similar discipline.
- Well versed with MFRS 9 standard.
- Proficiency in SAS system is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge on MFRS 9 especially in ECL provisioning for retail and non-retail products.
- Good analytical and communication skill.
- Good supervisory and interpersonal skill.
- Able to work independently with high degree of commitment.
