**Job Summary**:
The Cost Accountant plays a vital role in managing and analyzing cost-related financial information to support strategic pricing, budgeting, and informed financial decision-making. This position is essential for preparing detailed cost reports, monitoring expenses, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and enhancing the organization’s overall financial performance.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Cost Management & Analysis**
- Prepare and interpret cost reports, including variance analysis and strategies for cost control.
- Monitor production costs, raw material consumption, labor charges, and overhead distribution.
- Assist in the development and upkeep of standard cost structures for products and services to ensure competitive pricing.
- Regularly review and adjust standard costs in response to market dynamics, operational changes, and business needs.

**Collaboration & Reporting**
- Partner with procurement, operations, sales, and other teams to drive cost efficiency across departments.
- Perform cost-benefit analyses for new initiatives, pricing strategies, and financial projections.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies, and relevant accounting standards.
- Support month-end close activities through cost reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
- Deliver detailed costing reports with insights to guide management decisions and audit preparedness.

**Cost Optimization & Strategic Recommendations**
- Identify cost-reduction opportunities and provide data-backed recommendations for ongoing improvement.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of financial models aimed at optimizing operations and resource deployment.

**Job Requirements**:

- Bachelors degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or CPA are strongly preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in cost accounting, finance, or related roles experience in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of cost accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, Macros, and financial modeling techniques.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and keen attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, capable of working independently, and able to meet strict deadlines.
- Proficiency in Chinese, English, and Bahasa Malaysia (both spoken and written) is required for business communication.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
