Our Claims professionals support AIG policyholders through some of the most trying times. When our clients face losses large and small, we step up to help them ease the financial burdens of catastrophic events like fires and hurricanes; we help them get their businesses back up and running again or recoup the value of a lost family heirloom or a prized possession. Our Claims team is an industry leader, drawing daily on its unparalleled levels of expertise to offer our clients the highest levels of stewardship to drive total cost of claim improvement and consistent outcomes. AIG manages claims using a wealth of technical and market knowledge about risks, business practices, and the ever-evolving legal and regulatory environment.

About the role

What you need to know:
Overall Job Purpose
- To handle and manage claims reported under the Specialty Line-of-Business

Accountabilities for the role:

- Manage the assigned the Specialty Claims Portfolio and accountable for its performance.
- Prompt acknowledgement and registration of claims
- Ensure claims reserving are accurate and updated timely
- Activity Logs, Diary and physical claim files are maintained up-to-date
- To ensure ALL Loss Advices are promptly issued in accordance to all requirements
- To monitor performance and conducts of vendors i.e. adjusters, recovery agents, lawyers, etc
- To process and settle claims assigned as per set guidelines
- To assist Unit Head on ad-hoc duties assigned from time to time

What we’re looking for:
Requirement
- 3 years + or more experience in handling Specialty claims (marine cargo, marine liability and aviation claims) would be an added advantage
- Computer literate
- Fast learner with the ability to work under mínimal supervision
- Possess leadership capabilities to lead, guide and motivate staff(s)
- Flexible to change and willingness to accept additional responsibilities/ challenges
