**Import Responsibilities**:

- _**Coordinate Import Documentation**_: Ensure all required documents, such as invoices, permits, and bills of lading, are accurately prepared and submitted._
- _**Customs Compliance**_: Verify compliance with local and international import regulations, ensuring timely customs clearance._
- _**Vendor Coordination**_: Work closely with overseas suppliers to monitor order processing, shipment schedules, and documentation requirements._
- _**Freight Management**_: Arrange and monitor incoming shipments, liaising with freight forwarders and transport providers._
- _**Cost Optimization**_: Evaluate and negotiate freight rates to optimize import costs while maintaining quality service._
- _**Inventory Coordination**_: Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure timely receipt of imported goods and proper stock management._
- _**Duty and Tax Calculation**_: Ensure accurate calculation and payment of import duties and taxes to avoid delays._
- _**Problem Resolution**_: Handle issues related to import delays, damaged goods, or discrepancies in shipments._
- _**Reporting**_: Maintain detailed records of all import & purchase activities and provide regular updates to stakeholders._
- _**Stay Updated**_: Keep abreast of changes in import laws, tariffs, and industry best practices._
- _**Import Purchases**:_Monitor and constantly review business commercial terms with vendors & suppliers and to review quarterly/half yearly of all import purchases._

**Export Responsibilities**:

- _**Coordinate Export Documentation**_: Prepare and verify all export-related paperwork, including invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin._
- _**Regulatory Compliance**_: Ensure adherence to export regulations, including obtaining necessary permits or licenses._
- _**Customer Coordination**_: Liaise with international customers to confirm order details and shipment requirements._
- _**Freight Booking**_: Arrange shipments with carriers, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery._
- _**Customs Declarations**_: Handle customs procedures for exports, including submission of declarations and responding to queries._
- _**Monitor Shipments**_: Track the progress of outbound shipments and provide updates to customers and internal teams._
- _**Cost Management**_: Negotiate freight rates and seek ways to reduce export costs without compromising efficiency._
- _**Resolve Issues**_: Address problems related to export shipments, such as delays, lost cargo, or compliance discrepancies._
- _**Export Payments**_: Work with the finance team to manage payments, such as Letters of Credit or advance payment terms._
- _**Market Knowledge**_: Stay informed about international trade developments, including tariffs, trade agreements, and logístical challenges._
