1. Pastry Production:

- Assist in the preparation and baking of a variety of pastries, cakes, cookies, and other desserts.
- Follow recipes and instructions from the Head Pastry Chef accurately.
- Ensure consistency and quality of all products.

2. Recipe Development:

- Collaborate with the Head Pastry Chef in creating and testing new recipes.
- Suggest improvements and adjustments to existing recipes.

3. Quality Control:

- Monitor the quality and presentation of all bakery items.
- Ensure that all products meet the bakery’s standards for taste, appearance, and freshness.

4. Kitchen Management:

- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly cleaned and maintained.
- Follow all health and safety regulations.

5. Inventory and Supplies:

- Assist in managing inventory levels of ingredients and supplies.
- Coordinate with suppliers for timely deliveries.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and report any shortages or issues.

6. Staff Supervision:

- Supervise and train junior pastry staff and kitchen assistants.
- Provide guidance and feedback to staff members.
- Ensure that all staff follow proper food handling and safety procedures.

7. Operational Support:

- Assist in the planning and execution of special events and catering orders.
- Help with scheduling and coordinating kitchen activities.

**Requirements**:
1. Education:

- Culinary certificate is preferred.
- Additional training in bakery management is a plus.

2. Experience:

- Proven experience as a pastry chef or assistant pastry chef.
- Experience in a bakery or commercial kitchen setting is preferred.

3. Skills:

- Strong baking and pastry skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Creativity and attention to detail in pastry presentation.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.

4. Personal Attributes:

- Passion for baking and pastry arts.
- High level of creativity and artistic ability.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.

5. Working Conditions:

- Must be able to work flexible hours or odd hours.
- Working days may include weekends and holidays.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
