Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: - Assist in the operational governance of the AIA multi-cloud environment (predominantly Azure but with an AliCloud and AWS footprint) - Improve operational efficiency via ARM template enhancements as required. - Develop automation opportunities via the use of Infrastructure-As-Code tooling e.g. Terraform, Ansible, Azure Automation Account - Management and compliance of Public Cloud technologies to audit standards. - Work with the Group Technical Risk to ensure compliance to all security requirements and standards. - Provisioning and support of non-standard cloud services that might not be covered in AIA service provider contracts. - Assist with Business Unit onboarding into their chosen cloud environment. - Reporting on the cloud environments as required - Exposure to ServiceNow service catalog development would be of benefit. - Experience of writing PowerShell and/or bash scripting to facilitate configuration management. - Script writing and development of configuration templates are required for cloud automation. - Build a professional Public Cloud service focused on service optimization - Communication with stakeholders including but not limited to local Business Units, Risk, Audit, IT, Corporate Security, Human Resources and communication at all levels within key vendors including Microsoft, AWS, Ali-Cloud and cloud managed service providers (IBM and BT) - Excellent command of spoken and written English to allow communication with all levels of management and ability to deliver written reports and verbal updates to stakeholders Minimum Job Requirements: Job Experience: - 5+ years relevant experience in Cloud Engineering with 2 or more years within a Cloud Automation Engineering role - Excellent understanding and proven experience in Public Cloud implementation, workload migration and operational support in a multi-site enterprise environment - Proven experience plus relevant professional certifications (Ansible, Terraform, Azure, AWS etc) - Experience of CI/CD pipeline tooling including Jenkins - Experience of Infrastructure-As-Code configuration management tooling (at least one of the following - Terraform, Ansible, Saltstack, Chef/Puppet) - Ability to write templates for IaC tooling - Practical experience of supporting Enterprise Public Cloud Services and automation - Life insurance experience within a regional or multinational scope will be an advantage - Experience within a decentralized organization, preferably within the Group unit where delivery is through influence rather than direct control - Sound understanding of IT operating model design and best practices - Special skills: - Ability to demonstrate independent leadership, judgment, and decision making - Ability to adjust to multiple and changing priorities, remaining flexible and open - Ability to create and maintain cooperative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders of all levels - Analytical and communication skills to understand business context; and enquire, counsel, and present solutions in an understandable and simple manner. - Be a self-starter and possess the confidence and skills to operate with and enjoy a high degree of autonomy.
