Responsibilities

**Participation in preparation & service of patient's meal**
- Distribute and collect the menu order sheet from patients within the stipulated time and forward to Assistant Supervisor for compilation.
- Check with nursing personnel regarding type or diet allowed for patients by using Diet Card in the ward and update the Assistant Supervisor in the kitchen.
- Responsible in the whole process of meals delivery from platting to serving meals to the patients:

- Portion the meals at proper amount, proper temperature, pleasing and attractive manner and according to the patients’ orders at the tray line (e.g. ensure food temperature is above 63 degrees Celsius before platting).
- Deliver and serve meals based on the patients’ orders to their respective wards.
- Ensure patient is getting the correct food.
- Collect the tray after patients finish the meals and sent down to Dietetics and Food Services Department for cleaning.
- Assist in preparing simple breakfast daily and prepare the drinks for breakfast, afternoon tea and supper for 2nd class wards (e.g. sandwich making and packing).
- Assist Assistant Supervisor/Demi Chef when necessary.

**2.** **Responsibilities in maintaining safety and sanitation of kitchen area, pantry room, utensils, cutleries and equipment.**
- Ensure all crockery is ready and food trolleys are heated before serving.
- Responsible for the safe and proper keeping all cutleries and other utensils used and to proper records of all utensils and inform the Food Service Executive or Food Service Supervisor for the replacement when necessary.
- Responsible in cleaning of:

- Crockery and utensils by using dishwasher after every meal.
- Dishwasher, conveyor table, dishwashing and platting area.
- Ensure the ward pantry rooms are cleaned and tidy.

**Requirements**:

- Experienced and comfortable in similar roles preferred
- Able to work independently
- Food and Hygiene Certificate
