The core function of this position is to plan and prepare foods based on the menu recipes, ensuring a consistent quality product for restaurant customers. The cook is responsible to do final plating before deliver to the customer on timely manner. Ensure the kitchen area, ingredients and utensils are clean and following the safety and health procedure. The cook needs to be able working under pressure to prepare food within the specified time limit.
- **KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**_

**a) ACHIEVE SALES TARGET**:

- Work closely with all restaurant staff to achieve Monthly Sales Target.
- To improvise the quality of foods by accurately following the standard recipes.

**b) OPERATIONS**:

- Set up, cleaning and organizing work station.
- Ensure food products are being delivered according to the menu recipes and paying close attention to plate presentation guidelines.
- Comply consistently with the restaurant standard size procedure, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
- Prepare ingredients for broiling, grilling, frying or other cooking methods by portioning, battering, breading, seasoning or marinating.
- Ensure the griller, oven, broilers, and other kitchen equipment to be ready to cook at the beginning of the shift.
- Complete opening and closing checklists.
- Handle, label, store and rotate product efficiently.
- Taking orders from front-of-house staffs from POS system.
- Monitor multiple food orders as new orders arrive.
- Ensure the food is delivered to customer on timely manner.

**c) CUSTOMER SERVICE**:

- Provide exemplary food services to the customers ensuring a high quality and contentment in food preparation.
- Uphold the company’s image as International brand at all times.

**d) STOCK / INVENTORY**:

- Check ingredients / stocks beginning and ending of the shift.
- Ensure all ingredients and its quality are fresh.
- Promptly reports equipment and food quality problems to the Operation Manager.
- Inform Operation Manager immediately on product shortage matter.

**e) SAFETY AND HEALTH**:

- Maintain a clean and sanitary work station areas.
- Ensure the equipment and utensils are clean and properly used.

**f) OTHERS**:

- Give ideas on the improvement of foods to the Operation Manager & Management Team.
- Throw all garbage at designated times to ensure the kitchen always in a clean environment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Operation Manager & Management Team.

**SPECIFICATION REQUIREMENT**:

- Possess SPM, Post Diploma, Diploma, Bachelor Degree in Culinary, Tourism and Hospitality or any related fields.
- 1-3 years experience of Cook in Hotel, Restaurant or any related field.
- Creative and innovative.
- Meticulous and accurate.
- Highly motivated person.
- Able to stand in long hours.
- Able to work on rotating shift, weekends, public holidays and long hours.
- Good time management skills
- Excellent communication skills among staffs.
- Strong interest in the mission and culture of Ace Café Kuala Lumpur

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
