**About the Role**

This role is hands-on and requires strong troubleshooting abilities, a solid understanding of system architecture, and a commitment to maintaining reliable, scalable, and secure IT environments.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Install, configure, and maintain **Linux servers** (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, or similar distributions).
- Manage **user accounts, permissions, and security policies** in Linux environments.
- Perform **system monitoring, performance tuning, and log analysis** to ensure optimal uptime.
- Implement and manage **backup, recovery, and disaster recovery** strategies.
- Automate system administration tasks using **Shell, Bash, or Python scripting**.
- Maintain accurate **system documentation**, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Participate in **on-call rotation** for production support and incident response.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum **3-5 years of experience** as a Linux System Administrator or in a similar role.
- Strong hands-on experience with **Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)** or other major distributions.
- Proficiency in **shell scripting** (Bash, Python, or Perl).
- Experience with **system monitoring tools** (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.).
- Familiarity with **virtualization (VMware, KVM, Hyper-V)** and **cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)**.
- Knowledge of **network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NFS, SSH, etc.)**.
- Understanding of **security best practices**, including firewalls, SELinux, and system hardening.
- Experience with **configuration management tools** (Ansible, Puppet, or Chef) is an advantage.
- Relevant certifications such as **RHCSA, RHCE, or CompTIA Linux+** preferred.
