**Position: Principal Architect**
- Work location: Ara Damansara, PJ, Selangor
- Working hours : Mon to Fri 5 days week
- Working mode: 100% on site
- Salary Budget: around RM20k-28K per month

**Job Purpose**:*

As Principal Architect you will play a pivotal role in the planning, design, and execution of architectural solutions for cutting-edge facilities in the pharmaceutical and other highly regulated industries.

Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that these designs align with industry regulations, safety standards, and incorporate the latest technological advancements.

You will lead a team of architects and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to create innovative and efficient spaces that support the complex needs of pharmaceutical research, development, and manufacturing.

Compliance with Safety, Environmental and Quality objectives are paramount.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:*
- Provide mentorship and leadership to a team of architects, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Support the professional and personal development of the architecture team by identifying training opportunities and staying informed about industry trends.
- Lead the architectural design of pharmaceutical and other high-tech industrial facilities from concept through to completion.
- Provide architectural leadership for all design phases, including Site Master Planning, Conceptual Design, Basic Design, Detailed Design, and execution.
- Work closely with clients and cross-functional teams, including process engineers, discipline engineers, project managers, and scientists, to fully understand and incorporate their requirements into the architectural design.
- Establish and enforce quality control processes to ensure the quality and precision of architectural drawings and specifications.
- Effectively communicate design concepts, strategies, and project updates to internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Integrate innovative and sustainable design practices into pharmaceutical projects, considering energy efficiency, waste reduction, and green building principles.
- Explore and recommend emerging technologies that enhance the efficiency and functionality of pharmaceutical facilities.
- Stay abreast of pharmaceutical industry regulations and standards, ensuring that designs adhere to relevant guidelines (e.g., FDA, GMP, GCP).
- Collaborate with regulatory affairs and compliance teams to ensure project compliance with local and international regulations.
- Manage schedule, budget and resources for multiple projects across the project lifecycle.
- Comply with and actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the Quality Management System and Company Values.

**Qualification**:*
- At least 15 years proven experience as an architect with a focus on pharmaceutical and/or other high tech industrial projects.
- Experience of working on international pharmaceutical projects. Experience of projects in Asia and the Middle East will be highly regarded.
- Professional certification or licensed architect.
- Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) or similar certification

**Skills**:*
- Knowledgeable and proficient in the use of BIM tools and processes including Revit, AutoCAD,
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Excel/Outlook/Word, Adobe Photoshop (Lumion, Sketch-up, V-Ray is an advantage)
- Experience in leading teams of professionals with the ability to create effective systems and nurture collaborative contributions to team-based projects.
- In-depth knowledge of International and regional Codes and Standards
- Comfortable working alone or in a team environment, maintain a positive and professional relationships with co-workers and management and able to coach junior staff on technical questions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with clients and multiple stakeholders on global projects.
- Proficiency in project management principles and practices. Strong project and time management abilities to maintain progress on multiple projects in parallel.

- Strong communication and data processing skills
- Establish contacts and relationships with key vendors within the industry.
- Detailed knowledge and experience in the successful design and execution of complex life science projects under PIC/S and US-FDA regulation.
- Efficient, professional and reliable.

**Note:**
- Travelling: not frequent but approximate 3 to 4 months once for a duration not longer than a week depending on the project requirement.
