About the Role

Reporting to Senior Manager, this position shall provide analysis on AIA’s investment portfolios’ performance, including, but not limited to, monthly SPPI analysis and monthly/quarterly ECL analysis to stakeholders. These analyses should be comprehensive and well-researched for purposes of detection control within GFS-IA and historical analysis to LBUs.- Perform month-end analysis on the financial position and the financial performance of all local business units (“LBU”).- Perform specific month-end/quarter-end analysis on AIA’s financial assets, e.g. SPPI analysis and ECL analysis- Use Business Intelligence (“BI”) System to provide charts and analytics to stakeholders and collate the information and facts sourced from SAP FAM and FICO or research input from Group or local stakeholders to substantiate the analysis and impact assessment.- Proactively identify significant variances and/or deviations from benchmark/expectations- Coordinate with other business areas, e.g. Group Application Support Centre (“GASC”) FAM, FICO, and BI team, Group Integrated Reporting Team (“IRT”), Group Investment and LBUs, as necessary to improve accuracy, reliability and quality of reports used for analytical work.- Proactive in identifying, assessing and recommending areas for end-to-end enhancement, including performing the necessary report testing to optimise the deliverable quality.- Ensure stakeholders’ satisfaction by consistently providing high quality deliverables to facilitate management decision making as applicable.- Perform resource and timeline assessment in relation to any group or local strategic projects that may directly or indirectly impact the downstream analytical work and submission.- Perform other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by manager to meet operational and/or other requirements.

Job Requirements:
- Qualifications:
- University Degree in Accountancy or related fields.-
- Internationally Recognized Accounting Qualification (ACCA, CFA, etc)-
- Professional experience:
- 2-3 years of investment accounting experience in multi-national insurance, asset management and/or unit trust companies-
- 3-4 years of experience in Big 4 audit firms with focus on financial service industry is an advantage-
- 2 + years of supervisory or management experience in the above position-
- Experience in financial analysis work, including data interpretation, consolidation, and trend analysis-
- Specific Business Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of investment products, including both their accounting and investment characteristicsProficient in using SAP FAM, FICO, and BI system-
- Sound knowledge of investment/finance systems architecture-
- Others:
- Strong presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal-
- Able to work independently and displays critical thinking in forming analytical judgment-
- Detail-oriented-
- Exhibits good time-management skill without compromising delivery to stakeholders-
- Able to anticipate stakeholders’ needs-
- Able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.-
