**ROLES DESCRIPTION**:
The Manager, Sales & Business Development supports all activities of the Commercial unit in the Far East Asia Region and reports directly to the Managing Director. He/she support the Director in managing every facet of the commercial strategies and activities in relation to sales & pricing, marketing and communication, business development, key accounts management, target setting and evaluation, budgets and P&Ls.
He/she collaborates with other business units (Training Centres and Support Services) to ensure optimum customer service experience.
He/she must have an excellent business acumen and equipped with skills in business development, customer relationship management, key account management, communication skills, and have a hands-on approach in supporting the business from a commercial perspective.
**Key Performance Indicators**:
1. Revenue from Safety Training courses, e-Learning and digital platform learning
2. Increase in Training Market Share, New Training Course Development, New Clientele
3. Fill-In Rates for confirmed Training courses
4. Customer Satisfaction Index
5. Cash Collection (support Finance Dept)
**REQUIREMENTS / PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES**
**Academic Qualification & Certification**:
- Possess at least a Degree or master’s in business administration / Management or any field, preferably specializing in Marketing, Business Development or equivalent.
**Professional Work Experience**:
- At least 10 years of working experience in the related field with an in-depth background in all aspects of Sales, Marketing and Business Development.
- Min 3 years proven track record in a Sales/Business Development managerial role, particularly developing and leading a team efficiently and effectively within the service-oriented industries.
**Leadership Skills**:
- Excellent leadership skills, portraying an ability to influence a cross-functional team and business leaders as well as stakeholders in a unified direction and with a common vision
**Communication/Influencing/Persuasive Skills**:
- Must also have good communication skills both in written and verbal form. Able to influence and persuade others effectively.
- He/she will also need good writing skills in drafting reports, proposals, and recommendations for senior leadership.
**Computer & Technology Skills**:
- Proficient in Ms Excel, Ms Office, Ms Outlook, and PowerPoint. He/she must additionally be proficient in the use of CRM software such as Salesforce.
**Other Skills**:
- Effective planning, organizing, time management in handling multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines, result-oriented, multitasker, detail-oriented, proactive, analytical/critical and strategic thinker, high integrity, highly collaborative, ability to learn and adapt quickly, good problem solving skills, ability to remain calm and composed during times of uncertainty and stress.
