Driver Logistics Assistant

**GENERAL JOB FUNCTION**

The Logistics Assistant is responsible for supporting the smooth flow of calibration operations by managing inventory, handling shipping and receiving, coordinating transportation, and ensuring proper documentation of logistics activities. This role involves delivering and collecting units from customers, maintaining cleanliness of company transport, and ensuring accurate, timely, and safe handling of equipment, while complying with health and safety standards and assisting in cost control and operational efficiency.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

**1.0 SHIPPING AND RECEIVING**

1.1 Coordinate the shipping and receiving of calibration instruments and materials.

1.2 Handle delivery and collection of units directly to/from customers when required.

1.3 Prepare shipping documents, including delivery notes, invoices, and packing lists.

1.4 Ensure goods are properly packaged to prevent damage during transportation.

**2.0 TRANSPORTATION COORDINATION**

2.1 Organize transportation logistics for calibration equipment to and from clients, calibration laboratories, and suppliers

2.2 Coordinate with vendors, shipping companies, and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries.

2.3 Personally deliver or collect units from customers, ensuring accurate handover and documentation.

2.4 Track shipments and resolve any delays or issues that arise.

**3.0 INVENTORY MANAGEMENT**

3.1 Assist in tracking, recording, and updating inventory levels of calibration equipment and spare parts.

3.2 Ensure proper documentation and labelling of products and calibration kits.

3.3 Conduct regular inventory audits and report discrepancies.

**4.0 SHIPPING AND RECEIVING**

4.1 Coordinate the shipping and receiving of calibration instruments and materials.

4.2 Prepare shipping documents, including delivery notes, invoices, and packing lists.

4.3 Ensure goods are properly packaged to prevent damage during transportation.

**5.0 TRANSPORTATION COORDINATION**

5.1 Organize transportation logistics for calibration equipment to and from clients, calibration laboratories, and suppliers.

5.2 Coordinate with vendors, shipping companies, and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries.

5.3 Track shipments and resolve any delays or issues that arise.

**6.0 CALIBRATION EQUIPMENT HANDLING**

6.1 Ensure calibration equipment is handled with care, following established procedures for handling sensitive instruments.

6.2 Assist in the setup and breakdown of equipment at customer locations if required.

**7.0 DOCUMENTATION AND RECORD-KEEPING**

7.1 Maintain accurate records of shipping and receiving activities, including documentation of calibration certificates, warranty records, and compliance paperwork.

7.2 Ensure that all relevant documents are filed and accessible for audits or customer inquiries.

**8.0 CUSTOMER INTERACTION**

8.1 Communicate with customers regarding delivery schedules, order status, and logistics-related concerns.

8.2 Ensure customer satisfaction by ensuring accurate and timely deliveries.

**9.0 HEALTH AND SAFETY COMPLIANCE**

9.1 Follow health and safety regulations related to the transportation and storage of calibration equipment.

9.2 Assist in maintaining a clean and safe working environment in storage and shipping areas.

9.3 Ensure that the company transport vehicle is kept clean, organized, and in good condition.

**10.0 SUPPORT CALIBRATION OPERATIONS**

10.1 Collaborate with the calibration team to ensure that equipment is available when needed for calibration processes.

10.2 Assist in organizing logistics for calibration projects, ensuring proper timing and coordination.

**11.0 COST CONTROL AND REPORTING**

11.1 Assist in tracking shipping costs and expenses, ensuring logistics operations stay within budget.

11.2 Report any inefficiencies or opportunities for cost-saving in logistics processes.

**QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS**

The professional qualifications required and the experience necessary to effectively complete the responsibilities of this position.

**Education**:

- SPM or above

**Work Experience**:

- 1 - 2 years in logistics, shipping & receiving, warehouse operations, or inventory management.
- Familiarity with shipping documentation (DO, Packing Lists, Invoices).
- Exposure to handling sensitive equipment or units.
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures in logistics setting.

**Knowledge, Skills and Ability**:

- Has valid license Class D Driving License (Malaysia)
- Ability to lift, move, and handle equipment safely

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,100.00 per month
