Responsibilities:
Greet and escort customers to their tables.

Present the menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g., about portions, ingredients, or potential food allergies).

Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware, and glasses.

Inform customers about the day’s specials.

Offer menu recommendations upon request.

Take accurate food and drink orders, using a POS ordering software, order slips, or by memorization.

Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally.

Regularly check on dining customers to ensure their satisfaction and attend to any needs.

Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate them to the manager if necessary.

Ensure tables are cleaned and set for new customers.

Process payment transactions and give correct change.

Follow all relevant health department rules and regulations.

Maintain a thorough knowledge of the café’s menu and any daily specials2.

Qualifications:
Proven work experience as a waiter or waitress.

Hands-on experience with cash registers and any ordering information system.

Active listening and effective communication skills.
