JOB DESCRIPTION:. Maintain kitchen work areas and restaurant equipment and utensils in clean and orderly condition. Wash, peel, cut, and seed fruits and vegetables to prepare them for consumption.. Butcher and dress animals, fowl, or shellfish, or cut and bone meat prior to cooking.. Sweep and mop floors; segregate and remove trash and garbage and place it in designated containers.. Wash pots, pans, and trays, worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks.. Sort bottles, and breaks disposable ones in bottle-crushing machine.. Scrape food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine.. Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or by use of hand truck.. Load or unload trucks picking up or delivering supplies and food.
