Financial Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical **Financial Analyst** to support the financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and accounting functions of our nursing home operations. The role involves managing the full set of accounts, preparing financial models, analyzing operational costs, tracking revenue streams, and providing insights to support strategic decisions that enhance the financial health and sustainability of the organization.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Accounting & Financial Management**
- Handle the **full set of accounts**, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting standards.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Ensure proper documentation and internal controls for all financial transactions.

**Financial Planning & Analysis**
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis against budget and forecast.
- Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate business performance and support decision-making.
- Assist in long-term financial planning to ensure sustainability of nursing home operations.

**Budgeting & Forecasting**
- Coordinate and support the annual budgeting process across departments (nursing, administration, operations).
- Monitor expenditure against budget, highlighting cost control opportunities.
- Provide rolling forecasts based on occupancy rates, patient care costs, and staffing requirements.

**Revenue & Cost Analysis**
- Track revenue from residents (private pay, insurance claims, government subsidies, etc.).
- Analyze operational expenses including staffing, medical supplies, meals, and facility maintenance.
- Identify trends and provide recommendations for efficiency and cost optimization.

**Compliance & Reporting**
- Ensure accurate financial records in line with accounting standards and healthcare industry regulations.
- Assist in audits, financial compliance checks, and liaising with external auditors.
- Prepare financial data required for regulatory reporting and management meetings.

**Business Support**
- Partner with management to provide financial insights for strategic initiatives (e.g., expansion, service improvement, capital investments).
- Conduct feasibility studies for new programs, facility upgrades, or service enhancements.
- Support HR in analyzing manpower costs, overtime trends, and caregiver staffing budgets.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in financial analysis and accounting.
- **Must be able to handle full set of accounts independently.**:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial modeling, and accounting/ERP software (SQL).

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
