**About the Role**

We are seeking a talented and passionate **Pastry Chef (Pâtissier)** to lead the creation of high-quality desserts and baked goods at our establishment. You will be responsible for preparing a wide range of pastries, cakes, and desserts that deliver exceptional taste and visual appeal while also actively contributing to **product innovation and development (R&D)** for new menu items.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, breads, desserts, and other baked goods.
- Lead R&D efforts to develop new dessert concepts, seasonal specialties, and signature items.
- Continuously experiment with ingredients, techniques, and plating to improve product offerings.
- Design and update dessert menus in collaboration with the Head Chef and F&B team.
- Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
- Monitor ingredient stocks and ensure proper storage of all pastry items.
- Train and supervise junior pastry staff and kitchen assistants.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and kitchen cleanliness.
- Stay updated on current dessert trends and best practices in the pastry industry.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a hotel, resort, or bakery.
- Formal culinary training or certification in Baking & Pastry Arts is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pastry ingredients, techniques, and international dessert styles.
- Creative and innovative, with a passion for product R&D and continuous improvement.
- Strong attention to detail in taste and presentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
