- This role is focused on key Internal Boston Scientific Events, which are to be run in a compliant manner following all rules of Healthcare Professional (HCP) engagement. This role will support the Institute of Advancing Science (IAS) in Penang and support events in the FAST cluster. This individual will organize the logistics for key regional events, meetings, trainings, as well as support when needed specific activities at major international tradeshows happening in the region. This individual will also work with country marketers and regional marketers to manage physician contracts at regional events, IAS events in Penang, major events and specific tradeshows for compliant HCP engagement. This role would require the individual to coordinate, plan, gain approvals and implement marketing events to support the business objectives as well as to provide general event planning and support to the Marketing Team to guide and advise them on digital and in person events to run compliant and impactful events.**Roles & Responsibilities**
- Supports the processing and execution of strategic meetings and events that support company and divisional initiatives; ability to manage appropriate vendors and follows up on execution
- Communicates proactively to all levels of management and stakeholders. Ability to handle senior Key Opinion Leader (KOL) communication individually
- Produces meetings & events ensuring consistency and collaboration while following established guidelines, processes, and tools
- Fosters strong relationships with key customers, both internal and external. Participates in and facilitates project teams cross-functionally. Serves as a liaison and event resource for initiatives and can communicate clearly and directly to the Senior Leadership when required
- Able to collaborate with identified vendors to ensure that initiatives meet objectives. Directs and initiates solutions in support of continuous improvement
- Manages and ensures consistency in the Boston Scientific brand
- Manages complex web registration sites and attendee communication plans
- Defines, tracks, and maintains budgets. Ensures cost-saving measures and spending within allocated amount. Ability to work resourcefully within budgets
- Maintains and enhances knowledge of meetings, events and tradeshow industry trends and best-in-class practices as related to responsibilities
- Works with FAST markets to support programs covering FAST countries and fully supports the IAS at Penang facility
- In all actions with HCPs, demonstrates a primary commitment to compliant behavior with documented processes and procedures in case of audits

**Qualifications**
- At least a Degree or equivalent
- Familiarity and work experience with the ASEAN, Korea, India, Hong Kong and Taiwan markets. Hence fluency in Korean/Mandarin or an additional APAC language would be an asset
- Experience in a corporate environment managing meetings, events and tradeshows. Healthcare experience preferred to understand strict compliance rules
- Strong vendor management skills to be able to deliver projects on deadline and to budget
- High level strategic knowledge of event management software web registration and experience of working on learning platforms required
- Must have demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders. Good communication skills and ability to use diplomacy and tact to diffuse high tension situations, particularly external contacts/vendors. Escalates serious issues to the manager, but largely able to work independently
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines and prepare materials with a high degree of accuracy
- Highly organized, proactive, resourceful, energetic, creative and problem-solving thinker, able to exercise sound judgment
- Ability and flexibility to travel to provide onsite support as required
