A personal learning assistant in school refers to an educational support system or tool that helps students with their learning process. It is designed to provide personalized guidance, support, and resources to enhance a student's educational experience. PLA usually help students with special needs or high functioning category in regular or international school environment.
- Adaptive Learning: Personal learning assistants can adapt to each student's unique learning needs, pace, and style. They can provide tailored content, activities, and assessments to match the individual student's abilities and preferences.
- Progress Tracking: They can monitor and track a student's progress, providing feedback and highlighting areas of improvement. This helps students and teachers identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas that require additional attention.
- Remedial Support: Personal learning assistants can provide additional explanations, examples, or resources to help students better understand difficult concepts or overcome learning challenges.
- Enrichment and Extension: They can offer advanced or supplementary learning materials for students who require extra stimulation and challenge beyond the standard curriculum.
- Time Management: Personal learning assistants can help students manage their time effectively, creating study schedules, setting goals, and reminding them of upcoming assignments or deadlines.
- Collaboration and Communication: They can facilitate communication and collaboration among students, enabling them to work together on projects, exchange ideas, and receive peer feedback.

Basic support by shadow/PLA in school
1) Helping student to communication with peers or teachers
2) Socialisation
3) Asking teacher directly if they don’t know something
4) Physical support such as toilet training/ walking up or down stairs etc.
5) Keeping students focus and attentive
6) Encourage students to participate in classroom activities
7) Creative in approach to help and teach the students
8) Encouraging independence in students by letting them fulfill the tasks on their own
9) Communicating with therapist of the strategies
10) Writing daily school reports
11) Working along with school requirements and teachers in school
12) Communicating with parents on daily basis on any needed areas.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM2,999.00 per month
