Maintenance Technician

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning, safety, and efficiency of all facilities and equipment across both the office and all the outlets. This includes overseeing inspections, repairs, preventive and corrective maintenance, compliance with safety standards, contractor supervision for new store openings and close coordination with Operations to support seamless outlet performance.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Perform Routine Maintenance**
- Conduct regular inspections of outlets, buildings and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems.
- Lubricate, clean and replace parts as necessary to maintain equipment in good working condition.
- Monitor and record service logs, maintenance activities and equipment performance.

**Troubleshoot and Repair**
- Diagnose technical and mechanical issues and determine effective solutions.
- Repair or replace defective parts in various systems, including plumbing, electrical systems and HVAC.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and fix issues quickly.
- Follow up on repairs to ensure issues are resolved effectively.

**Facility Upkeep**
- Ensure outlets and facilities remain safe, clean and well-maintained.
- Support plumbing, safety procedures and protection systems in an orderly manner.
- Inspect and verify contractor/supplier work, including testing and commissioning prior to new store openings.
- Coordinate with Operations and other teams to support smooth day-to-day operations.

**Safety and Compliance**
- Ensure compliance with all safety, health and environmental standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
- Monitor and manage maintenance inventory, ordering parts and supplies when necessary.
- Report and escalate hazards or non-compliant work promptly.

**Emergency Response**
- Respond promptly to urgent and emergency maintenance requests.
- Provide on-call support as needed to address unexpected issues outside regular working hours.

**Job Requirements**
- Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification is required.
- Preferred technical diploma, vocational training or certification in maintenance, mechanical or electrical fields.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing) will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as Maintenance Technician or in a similar industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, power tools, and maintenance software.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and related documents.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues, contractors, and supervisors.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and manual dexterity to carry out maintenance tasks and handle heavy parts/equipment.
- Must possess own transport and be able to travel between outlets including outstation locations.
- Willing to work long or irregular hours as needed.
- Willingness to travel to outlets or project sites within Peninsular Malaysia when required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
