Technical Sales Manager

Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Regional Director and working closely and as part of Allrig’s APAC division and the regional technical, operations, and sales teams, the Technical Sales Manager will support Allrig’s business development and technical expertise workload throughout the Asia Pacific Region, or as required. In addition to this, the Technical Sales Manager will also be responsible for sales growth in APAC and the business overall, plus discussing and managing technical specification and technical support requirements, such as equipment needs and work-scopes, for both customers and internal operations, logistics, and sales to ensure ongoing development, growth, and technical accuracy of Allrig in the region.
The Technical Sales Manager must also be responsible for regular internal team communication, planning, execution, and reporting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carry out face to face techno-commercial meetings with prospective and existing customers across the geographical territories in support of local commercial and operational management.
- Carry out face to face sales meetings with prospective and existing customers across the geographical territories in support of local commercial and operational management.
- Receive RFQs, submit quotations, follow up on quotations and understand client demands and market pricing to win orders.
- Assist with the development of strong relationships with customers in each of the regions through key account management support - face to face discussions from project concept through to final data reporting.
- Respond to customer technical and commercial enquiries as and when required on a timely basis, including the preparation of technical and commercial proposals.
- Support the regional team by pre-empting and/or resolving any issues with customers.
- Proactively seek-out and meet key decision makers on all levels at prospective clients.
- Proactively seek information on competitor services / products / pricing / promotion plans to counter competitive threats.
- Support the marketing effort with suitable social media posts, presentation, case studies and similar, to ensure world class literature and publicity materials are available to global customers.
- Actively participate in the annual budgeting process in support of regional management.
- Provide technical support and initiatives to the APAC team.
- Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotes
- Support the regional team to issue parts quotations
- Issue service quotes at a high standard of English, technical accuracy, commercial accuracy, legal accuracy, and job specific accuracy, that are written to help ensure client engagement and heightened chance of award.
- Update AMS (Allrig Management System) with proposal and figures
- Both support and directly report on sales figures, targets, performance, PO’s actuals, margins, etc.
- Track enquiries, quotes, orders and implement in AMS for easy tracking
- Enter all opportunities in Phoenix and ensure Phoenix is up to date.
- Follow up with clients on quotes and opportunities
- Inform clients of unforeseen delays or problems when deemed appropriate
- Make sales visits with the management and team to learn the core business, sales tactics and make new contacts
- Meet buyers/procurement officers within clients and make relationships with them
- Optimize the sales process as needed
- Look for gaps in service offering and try to get new clients
- Assist in the preparation and organizing of promotional material or events
- Assist in strategy and preparation of Tender response documents
- Accomplish department and organization mission by completing related results as needed
Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM13,000.00 per month
