**_Job Summary_**
- Responsible for repair and maintenance of the Instrument and Electrical equipment encompassing the plant switch-gear installations, electrical and pneumatic system, motors and frequency drives, PLC controllers and AC / DC drive controls and Robotics.

**_Job Responsibilities_**
- Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints and computer logic to troubleshoot production problems and resolve them.
- Perform process control, sensing and monitoring system calibrations and record keeping.
- Work with other team members, engineers and production personnel to complete job task, breakdowns or machine redesigns to improve/resolve production needs.
- Support, maintain and improve the plant MPI programs to maintain equipment reliability.
- Responsible for requisitioning replacement parts from plant inventory as well as obtaining outside sources to replace, upgrade or implement new equipment designs.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and respond to call-ins and impromptu overtime on days, nights and weekends.
- Actively participate in plant safety meetings and procedures for lock-out, line breaking, safe work, and hot work.
- Ensure all contractors adhere to the chemical plant's safety standards.

**_Qualifications: _**
- Diploma/ Certificate in Electrical/Electrical Maintenance experience, A0 - A4 Chargeman Certificate will be an advantage
- Excellent safety skills.
- Must comply with OSHA and plant-specific safety procedures.
- Related work experience in reading loop sheets, electrical interconnect drawings, ladder logic drawings, equipment and process instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) and knowledge of prevailing electrical codes.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience with troubleshooting and repair of variable frequency drives is desired.
- Experience with SAP computerized maintenance management system.
- In addition to the basic requirement of being able to install control wiring, the ability to work on power wiring up to 480V 3-phase is an advantage.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 36 months

**Salary**: RM3,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
