We Are Hiring

Hako Village is seeking experienced Kitchen Cooks to join our dynamic Food & Beverage team. This is a great opportunity for culinary professionals who are passionate about preparing quality meals and working in a fast-paced student accommodation environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and cook a variety of local Malaysian cuisine, basic Western dishes, and basic Italian meals.
- Ensure high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation are maintained at all times.
- Conduct food costing and daily/weekly forecasting to manage inventory and control waste.
- Prepare and manage the market list and coordinate with purchasing for supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area according to safety and hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with the F&B team for menu planning and daily operations.
- Assist with stock rotation and inventory checks.
- Report kitchen operations directly to the F&B and Retail Manager.

**Job Requirements**:

- Minimum 5 to 8 years of experience in a kitchen role.
- Salary negotiable, depending on relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge in preparing local Malaysian food; working knowledge of basic Western and Italian cuisine.
- Ability to plan, cost, and forecast food menus and ingredients.
- Familiarity with kitchen SOPs and safety regulations.
- Experience in a hotel or café kitchen is an added advantage.
- Able to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- A team player with good communication and time management skills.
- **A practical test may be conducted to assess cooking skills and ensure the taste and quality of food prepared meet our standards prior to employment confirmation.**
