Safety Officer

**Your Contribution**:

- Perform the duty of Safety and Health Officer as stipulated in the legal context of Malaysia. Compiles the implementation concept for the Site Management and the resulting requirements for introduction, maintenance and continuous improvement of the local occupational health and safety related part of the integrated management system in compliance with the EHS Guideline, relevant internal EHS standards and ISO 45001.
- Controls the implementation in the local integrated management system using key figures that provide reliable measurability. Compiles reports for the Site Management on the basis of systematical evaluated data and in accordance with legal regulations and reporting requirements for reports to Plant Management and for the EHS representative of the business unit (implementation status, monitoring, training, action plan). Plans and monitors the occupational health and safety goals and objectives with stakeholders.
- Plans and conducts system, process audits and inspections on the shop floor independently as well as with Corporate Auditors or Internal Auditors in the operating units, derives improvement measures with the units and establishes effective mechanisms to ensure a proper follow-up.
- Plans projects and measures to improve occupational safety, for example to implement BU-wide occupational safety programs or best practice and lessons learnt transfer to all BU units.
- Supports the responsible Department Managers throughout the plant in job safety analysis/work place risk assessments and hazard assessments.
- Provides information and advice to Plant
- and Department Managers on legal and normative changes/innovations in the occupational health and safety context. Prepares training material, organizes and conducts training for example, occupational safety requirements, accident prevention, accident and health hazards, suitable countermeasures, hazard and work place risk assessments, accident analyses, basic ergonomics guideline methods, handling hazardous substances and the correct use of personal protective equipment, and ensures documentation and effectiveness of training measures and safety instructions.
- Participates in internal and external training measures. Obtains information from legal texts, customer information, literature and publications on legal requirements and the state of the art in occupational safety.

- Knowledge on ISO45001 Standard, PPE, Ergonomic, HIRARC, LEV, DOSH Mykkp, Legal, Audit, Safety and Health Committee, Fire protection, Emergency Response, Audiometry, Chemical management, facility management
- Organizational Context, Risk Management, Strategy, Project management, Stakeholder management, Data Management, Risk & Organization Reporting, Auditing, Malaysia EHS regulatory requirements.
- Excel, Powerpoint, Presentation, Analytical, Strategi Thinking, Results Orientation, Entrepreneurial Action, Knowledge Sharing, Responsibility, Willingness to Learn, Reliability, Relationship Building, Objectivity, Communication, Creativity.
- Min 7 years experience with successfully lead and create an impact with solid result in Safety and Health.
- Bachelor Degree in Industrial Safety, Occupational Safety and EHS or related discipline.
- Certified SHO
