**FFM Berhad, Sg. Buloh, Selangor**

**This role requires travelling any of the Group's subsidiaries as needed, including being based on site at Sungai Buloh.**

**Job Scope**

The EHS Specialist will be supporting the his/her manager in planning the FFM Group’s Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) directives, setting goals and driving the EHS performance of the Group comprising 14 subsidiaries at 28 locations.

This includes continuously managing, reviewing, and improving existing EMS & OHSMS Management Systems, implements, oversees, revise, adapt or adopt policies, procedures in compliance with Wilmar Group EHS standards, local EHS authorities and relevant government agency requirements. To work with EHS officers of all entities in aligning EHS practices and executing EHS compliance activities as well as lead the Group in obtaining ISO14001 EMS & ISO 45001 OHSMS certification.

**1. Group Level**

a) Setting long and short term EHS goals for FFM Group, formulating action plans to achieve the goals and establishing metrics to monitor against targets.

b) Continuously review and ensure group wide EHS compliance, working with EHS officers and various competent persons of all entities to:

- drive and ensure healthy and safe workplace and environment.
- ensure monitoring of EHS performance and timely update of EHS performance results, incidents & accidents investigation and reporting by all site into the Enablon system
- formulate environmental monitoring on wastewater treatment, industrial effluent/discharge parameter, air pollution, noise pollution and schedule waste operation.
- develop program to reduce the risk of environmental hazard.
- obtain ISO14001 EMS & ISO 45001 OHSMS certifications.

c) Continuously manage, review, and improve existing EMS & OHS Management system, implements, oversees, revise, adapt or adopt policies, procedures in compliance with Wilmar Group EHS standards, local EHS authorities and relevant government agency requirements.

d) Organize and manage internal EHS audit of all sites and ensure effective corrective actions closure.

e) Organize and manage EHS training and awareness program for all sites, including LMS trainings for EHS officers, EHS training and briefing to employees, contractors, and visitors.

f) Lead ergonomic initiatives group wide including awareness, performing analysis, and developing solutions aim to provide a safe and healthy work environment.

**2. Sungai Buloh Office**

In addition to the above, to carry out the following functions at Sungai Buloh office:
a) Liaise with DOSH, DOE, BOMBA, Local Authority and other related government agencies for legal compliance and submission of their respective statutory reporting.

b) Manage & review EHS committee meetings, emergency response team training, fire drill, workplace EHS audit, maintenance of firefighting systems, scheduled waste management etc. and any other functions and/or responsibilities that maybe required from time to time.

**3. Crisis Management and BCM**:
a) Support implementation of the Group Crisis Management and Business Continuity Plans.

b) Support crisis training and BCP testing.

c) Prepare EHS crisis response plans according to the identified risks.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Environmental Studies, Health and Safety or relevant.
- Registered as a Safety & Health Officer (SHO) with The Department of Safety & Health (DOSH).
- Minimum 5 years’ working experience in food manufacturing or similar industry.

**Technical Skills & Professional Knowledge**
- Strong knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) 1994, OSHA (Amendment) Act 2022 and Environmental Quality Act (EQA) 1974.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills in technical EHS.
- Ability to evaluate and highlight risk.
- Strong reporting & writing skills in English
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
- Independent as well as a good team player, responsible, trustworthy, meticulous, analytical, innovative and with an eye for details.
