Job Description: Waiter

Key Responsibilities:
1. **Customer Service**: Welcome guests warmly as they arrive, escort them to their tables, and present menus. Provide recommendations and descriptions of menu items, answer questions, and offer assistance as needed to enhance the dining experience.

2. **Order Taking and Accuracy**: Take guests' food and beverage orders promptly and accurately, using the appropriate order-taking methods (written or electronic). Ensure that special requests, dietary restrictions, and modifications are communicated clearly to the kitchen staff.

3. **Timely Service**: Monitor guests' dining progress and anticipate their needs throughout the meal. Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure that orders are prepared and served promptly, maintaining a smooth and efficient flow of service.

4. **Product Knowledge**: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the menu offerings, including ingredients, preparation methods, and flavor profiles. Stay informed about daily specials, promotions, and any changes to the menu.

5. **Upselling and Cross-Selling**: Suggest additional items, such as appetizers, beverages, or desserts, to enhance the dining experience and increase sales. Use suggestive selling techniques tactfully and respectfully.

6. **Table Maintenance**: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, including tables, chairs, and tableware. Replace utensils, napkins, and condiments as needed. Monitor table turnover and assist with resetting tables for the next guests.

7. **Payment Processing**: Present guests with accurate bills, process payments securely, and handle cash transactions with integrity and attention to detail. Offer assistance with splitting checks or processing multiple forms of payment.

8. **Conflict Resolution**: Address any guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, striving to resolve issues to the guests' satisfaction. Alert management to any significant issues or challenges that may require assistance.

9. **Team Collaboration**: Work closely with fellow waitstaff, kitchen staff, bartenders, and management to ensure seamless coordination and teamwork. Communicate effectively and assist with tasks as needed to support the overall operation of the restaurant.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on anticipating and exceeding guest expectations.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for order-taking, bill calculation, and payment processing.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to restaurant policies, procedures, and standards.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Pay: From RM2,000.00 per month
