Commis Chef

The Commis play a vital role in the overall success of the culinary team and the restaurants within the hotel. Your role is to provide exceptional service and support the culinary team behind the scenes. The care you devote to all aspects of food preparation will result in the creation of spectacular cuisine.
You should demonstrate excellent organizational skills and ensure that all duties are completed in a timely manner. Ultimately, you should be able to follow all instructions and comply with food health and safety regulations.
THE JOBSCOPE
- Have full knowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotions
- Follow kitchen policies, procedures and service standards
- Able to produce quality product in a timely and efficient manner for the guests or staff.
- Maintains set standards of hygiene in food production area.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment
- Works according to published staff rosters.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
- Carries out all reasonable duties as assigned by management.
- Behaves at all times in a manner which projects the good image of company.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations.
- The ability to stand for extended periods.
- The ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma, or certification in Culinary Arts is advantageous.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
