**Position Overview**

Safety Executive to responsible for overseeing and ensure compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health (Amendment) Act 2022 in company facilities. Safety Executive also responsible for coordinating and implementing occupational safety and health (OSH) programs, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring a safe working environment for all employees in accordance with Malaysian law & regulatory requirements along with approved company policies.

This strengthens PrimaBaguz’s halal retail portfolio, expanding its Southeast Asian market reach following its 2020 acquisition by global meat company Johnsonville.

**Responsibilities**
- Ensure compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health (Amendment) Act 2022 and other relevant regulations.
- Act as Secretary of the Safety and Health Committee (SHC) and support the execution of OSH policies.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections, hazard identification, and safety audits.
- Investigate incidents and near misses and prepare reports for DOSH and internal stakeholders.
- Liaise with authorities (e.g., DOSH, BOMBA) during audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
- Plan and conduct safety training sessions, inductions, and emergency response drills.
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Emergency Response Plan (ERP) and ensure the readiness of safety equipment.
- Maintain accurate safety records and documentation including SOPs, HIRARC, SWP, and SDS.
- Assist contractors and third parties in complying with site OSH procedures.
- Monitor and coordinate plant security systems and perform other safety-related tasks as assigned by management.

**Requirements/ Experiences**
- Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Engineering or related fields.
- Certified Safety & Health Officer (SHO) by DOSH is an advantage.
- Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role, preferably in food manufacturing or cold chain environments. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

**Knowledge/ Skills**
- Strong knowledge of OSHA 2022, relevant codes of practice, and Malaysian OSH regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Competent in analysis, risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety audits.
- Able to work with minimum supervision.
- Computer literate especially in Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint & Word)
- Familiarity with ISO 45001 is an advantage.
