**Job responsibilities**:
- Financial Operations Management:_
- Oversee day-to-day accounting functions and processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger sections.
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions in the accounting system.
- Implement and maintain internal controls and segregation of duties to safeguard company assets and prevent financial irregularities.
- Ensure that finance processes are aligned with, and adhere to Group Finance procedures.
- Ensure that document approvals are in accordance with Group’s Limit of Authority.
- Cash flow Management:_
- Manage, plan and optimize cash flow and working capital to meet financial obligations and monthly commitments.
- Team Management:_
- Supervise the finance team by providing guidance, exposures and opportunities for career growth and development.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis:_
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements and relevant statistical reports.
- Maintain all relevant schedules to support the financial reporting accordingly.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of management accounts to Group Finance in accordance with the communicated deadlines.
- Conduct regular financial reviews to assess the company’s financial performance and provide insightful analysis to the management.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:_
- Lead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with department heads and ensure alignment with the Group’s strategic objectives.
- Monitor and manage departmental budgets, monitor variances on actual outcome, identify areas of concern and propose necessary adjustments.
- Compliance and Audit:_
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards, tax laws and requirement, as well as any new regulations imposed by statutory bodies and regulatory authorities.
- Responsible for ensuring the timely completion of financial year end audit with external auditors with all adjustments are duly verified.
- Liaise with internal auditors as at when necessary.
- Financial Strategy and Planning:_
- Collaborate with executive management in developing long-term financial strategies and identifying growth opportunities.
- Assist in evaluating the financial impact of potential strategic initiatives.
- Purchasing_
- Ensure that the purchasing process for inventories and others are carried out in best interest of the company and according to the Group Procurement Policy.
- Ensure approvals of purchases are accordance with Group’s Limit of Authority.
- Inventory Management:_
- Work closely with the purchasing team to optimize costs without compromising on product quality and service levels.
- Analyse price trends and benchmark against standards to negotiate favorable terms with suppliers.
- Inventory Management:_
- To ensure stocks are well maintained and properly recorded for all stores.
- Stocks level are identified and minimize slow moving items and expired stocks.
- Periodic stock counts are performed and variances are verified and reconciled.
Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Setapak: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
