Social Media Specialist

We are looking for a creative and insightful Social Media Specialist to join the Social Media Team of our brand, shakalakaa. As a Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing social media strategies in order to increase the online presence of our clients’ brands and improve the marketing and sales efforts of their businesses.

Job Details

**Job Type**: Full time (9 months minimum employment period inclusive of 3 months probation)

**Work Model**: Hybrid (up to 10 days monthly in office)

**Work Location (if required to be at office)**: Cheras Business Centre, Kuala Lumpur

**Working Days**: 5 days a week, excluding public holidays

**Working Hours**: Flexible for remote work days, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM for physical work days

Key Responsibilities
- Brainstorm and generate ideas and strategies for social media marketing campaigns according to the client’s needs and objectives.
- Present ad strategies and make suitable recommendations to clients for their objectives.
- Conduct intensive research on market’s updates, trends, and changes to understand the client's marketing needs and its target audience.
- Manage and oversee the client’s social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Xiaohongshu.
- Content creation - Design and create engaging content for client's ad campaigns and social media accounts.
- Photo and video editing - Edit raw photo and video materials provided by the client to produce high quality photo or video content for the client's ad campaigns and social media accounts.
- Copywriting for ads, social media posts, brands' banner and other relevant content for the client's social media accounts.
- Organize social media calendars with relevant content for client's social media accounts.
- Launching and execution of social media ads, as well as daily monitoring and analyzing of campaign performance to ensure the campaigns meet client's target and expectation.
- Continuously follow up with the client on ad campaign performance and optimize ad strategies to bring maximum value for the client.
- Conduct physical visit to update clients on ad campaign performance and action plans when necessary.
- Produce monthly social media report for the client's project.
- Provide top-notch social media marketing and content creation services to boost client retention.
- Supervise and guide Social Media Interns and Creative Design Interns on their daily tasks and responsibilities.

**; Requirements**:
- Knowledge and understanding on the field of digital marketing, as well as Facebook and Instagram ads are required. Knowledge and understanding on TikTok ads is an added advantage.
- Knowledge, experience and skills on graphics design and the use of Adobe Illustrator and/or Adobe Photoshop are added advantages.
- Knowledge, experience and skills on photo and video editing are added advantages.
- Minimum SPM holder for Malaysians or any equivalent for non-Malaysians. Graduates in Advertising, Marketing, Media, or Communications disciplines have an added advantage.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with a cross-functional team.
- Able to consistently meet deadlines, multi-tasking and problem-solving with strong attention to detail.
- Able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
- Proficient in both spoken and written English AND Mandarin. Bahasa Malaysia (Malay) is an added advantage.
- Analytical, data-driven person with strong problem solving skills.
- Able to start work immediately or with short notice is preferable.
