Imaging Radiographer

'¢ To carry out imaging procedures as assigned, includes but not limited to the following: - o General X ray including Mobile X ray. o CT scan o MRI o PETCT o Mammography procedures - female radiographer only o C-arm related procedures o Dexa o II in OT '¢ To exercise the following functions of a radiographer described as follows: - o To produce radiograph of optimal diagnostic quality o To minimize wastage of x-ray films, CD, envelopes and all relevant resources. o To organize work systematically so as to maximize use of the rooms and staff o Reduce patient waiting time o To maintain a good team work and conducive working environment. '¢ To assist the radiologist / radio oncologist in special procedures as and when necessary. '¢ In C-arm procedures, the image intensifying is to be cleaned and kept in a proper place after every procedure. '¢ To assist Imaging Manager in preparing the monthly report. '¢ To extend quality patient related services accordingly described as follows: - o To exercise proper patient care. o To explain and ensure patient understands the nature of the procedures. o To inform the patient accordingly on delays in any radiology procedures. o To check patient's particulars with the request form and ensure correct procedures are carried out for the right patient. o To ensure that patients are properly prepared before special procedures. o To assist radiologist in performing the procedures. o To ensure equipment's are functioning properly. o To operate the equipment's in a manner that is suitable to its operating procedures. o To report any malfunction or breakdown of equipment as soon as possible to the Imaging Manager. '¢ To maintain standards and quality operating procedures described as follows: - o To ensure the department is kept tidy and clean. o To ensure the bed sheets and the patient gowns are clean at all times. o To check, keep and maintain all the accessories in designated rooms. o To ensure strict radiation protection to all patients, staff and the public. o To prepare the equipment's and required items for special procedures before the procedure starts. o To clean the equipment's and other items after completion of special procedures. o To ensure that all cassettes and grids are kept clean, arranged and kept in proper place. '¢ To provide proper and acceptable customer service-related works as follows: - o To project a professional image to the public. o To exercise courtesy in all manners. o To assist patients' family members in enquiries and explanation. o To assist in answering public enquiries about the services and the hospital. o To always maintain a helpful and friendly attitude throughout the service period. '¢ To work as per the rostering and at any particular time as and when required by the operations. '¢ To ensure safety and proper handling of equipment's and radioactive sources while working within PETCT hot-lab and while injecting the radio-tracer to PETCT patients. '¢ To ensure additional charges are billed accordingly by indicating in charge sheet and informing the coordinator after completing the added procedures. To drop charges accordingly in the HIS (Hospital Information System). '¢ To maintain a neat and tidy appearance and adhere to the grooming requirements. '¢ To attend trainings / seminars identified by the hospital for the benefit of improving work knowledge and capability. '¢ To maintain confidentiality for all medical records. '¢ To perform any other duties as assigned by the Imaging Manager / Division Director / Medical Director / Management.
