**Role Overview**

We are currently looking for a Tax Advisor, which is equivalent to Senior Associate in a large tax advisory firm, located in our Cyberjaya, Malyasia office. This is a unique opportunity for an individual with a background or desire to specialize and be involved in various aspects of Quest’s U.S & Canadian transaction taxes (e.g. sales and use taxes) but will also potentially support the U.S. income tax compliance/return processes.. This is a hybrid role (part-time work from home).

**Responsibilities**:
Responsibilities of this role will be primarily focused on transaction taxes and will report to the US Global Tax Team and work alongside the APJA Accounting team, which is also located in Cyberjaya Conduct sales and use tax/Canadian goods and services tax (GST) processes, including (but not limited to):

- Oversight of tax advisors
- Preparation of returns
- Exemptions and related certificates
- Taxability analysis
- Reconciliations
- Inquiries from internal departments
- Review property tax renditions and related tax payments/filings.
- Assist in processing tax payments.
- Timely update budget accrual schedules for tax advisors.
- Assist with aspects of any transaction tax audit or notices, as they arise.
- Analyze and prepare monthly tax payable reconciliations and adjusting journal entries.
- Assist in taxability determinations and prepare resulting journal entries for tax accruals.
- Monitor and update sales tax and/or product taxability in tax software.
- Assist with day-to-day aspects of any Americas region tax audits/examinations as they arise.
- Assist with the preparation of tax returns, workpapers, and related forms for U.S. federal, state income and franchise tax returns as time permits.
- Assist in maintaining the U.S. tax return calendar, estimated income tax payments and extensions, registrations, and other return processes as time permits.

Qualifications:
**Qualifications**
- Education level equivalent to a four-year undergraduate degree (Bachelors) degree in Accounting/Finance.
- At least 1 year of income tax experience in private industry and/or public accounting.
- Fluent in English (written and verbal)

**Preferences**
- Knowledge of US taxes such as transaction taxes (e.g. sales and use taxes).
- Ability to conduct tax research using various research tools including RIA, CCH, etc.
- Experience with Oracle or other major ERP Systems.
- Ability to perform multiple concurrent and diversified tasks.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Flexibility to work with team members in different time zones (primarily U.S.).
- Ability to work independently, as well as within cross-functional teams.
