In response to the growing demand for dent-mapping services from airlines, MROs and leasing companies, 8tree has launched a dedicated business that offers dentCHECK-as-a-Service. 8tree is hiring a Field Technician to support this growing business. 60% of this position’s responsibility will be service-focused, whereas the remaining 40% will be to support product testing. The position will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Tasks - Perform and support on-site aircraft inspection globally, using 8tree’s products - Coordinate logistics, and communicate timelines and deliverables effectively - Communicate with customers to determine report requirements - Coordinate with the global 8tree team to generate inspection reports - Support the onboarding of new 8tree partners and cultivate strong relationships with technical counterparts. - Test all aspects of the product (hardware/software) for performance, robustness, and reliability - Do your best to ensure the success of 8tree’s customers **Requirements**: Must-have Requirements - Diploma or degree in aircraft maintenance, engineering, mechanical, or other relevant discipline - Excellent proficiency in reading technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams - \ > 2 years of work experience in a technical role, preferably in-field technical experience - Extremely strong English communication skills (verbal and written) - Self-driven initiative to learn, identify challenges and seek solutions; attention to detail - Ability to travel up to 30% of the time and work a variable work schedule as needed to meet business goals, including responding to unscheduled dispatch callouts on short notice - Non-negotiable attributes - Admirable work ethic, strong time-management skills, flexibility & dependability to work with a global team, ability to work in physically demanding environments (outdoors, on scaffolding, ladders, at heights, etc.) - Excellent customer service and communication skills - Adherence to local Health, Safety & Environmental policies Nice-to-have Requirements - Solid understanding of statistics - Experience in 3D measurement - Experience in Aviation-MRO / Aerospace / Wind-Turbine / Automotive industries - Knowledge of relevant aircraft Structural Repair Manuals (SRM) chapters **Benefits**: - Competitive salary, paid vacation, health & retirement benefits.
