**Job purpose**:
The Sales Specialist is responsible for achieving targeted sales growth for a specific category of product.

**Duties**:

- Manages a range of products (Pastry). Conducts required daily sales visits and ensures achievement of required sales and profit margin targets on the pastry category
- Identifies sales opportunities (new account or new product) by using market knowledge
- Works closely with sales manager and suppliers to develop effective sales strategies
- Is able to identify a need and recommend the right product of his category for each customer.
- Advices customer, provides personalized solutions through a professional and technical approach to help fix identified issues
- Plays a key role in sampling distribution and customer feedback collection

**Sales support**:

- Takes responsibility for team knowledge throughout the category. Regularly help other member of the sales team to develop their knowledge on pastry products through trainings, demo, customer meetings
- Regularly reviews sales tools available, coordinates with the management, marketing manager or suppliers to update them.

**Stock management and forecasting**:

- Proposes sales forecasts for the specific category
- Is aware of supply schedule & stock position of pastry products
- Anticipates and proposes solution to avoid/ fix stock issues (shortage and overstock)

**Maintains high level of Customer Satisfaction**:

- Works on high level of customer satisfaction
- Communicates and coordinates with other resources such as Sales team, Marketing and Operations to meet and exceed customer satisfaction at all times
- Proactively checks products quality/ availability to avoid complaints.

**Market Intelligence**:

- Has advanced knowledge of market situation, trends and opportunities in pastry category
- Is proactive in collecting feedback from the field, including customer feedback, competitor activities, new trends, business opportunities
- Coordinate with channel head to guaranty information is circulated.

**Reporting**:

- Records daily customer visits in required format
- Provide report base on management requirement (stock/ sales analysis, etc.)

**Skills and competences**:

- Min Diploma in Sales and Marketing preferred or fresh graduate with Diploma in Patisserie, Pastry & Bakery Arts and willing to venture into sales role are encouraged to apply
- Prior experience in sales and kitchen preferred
- Deep pastry product knowledge, technical knowledge as well as market situation and trends
- Passion for fine food and gastronomy
- Welcomes challenge and has a passion for results
- Responsible and dedicated to meet tight deadlines
- Creative initiative with a strength in problem solving
- Good team player as well as independent and self-driven
- Ability to build strong relationships, both externally and internally
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, particularly developed pitching and negotiation skills
- Versatile and adaptable to a fast-paced environment
- PC Literacy Skills - Microsoft Office. Knowledge of SAP Business One system would be advantageous
