General
- Know the food menu/special promotions including preparation times, cooking methods, main ingredient and side dishes for the outlet(s) assigned.
- Ensures all guest requests and complaints are handled appropriately adhering to the hotel’s general guidelines for service recovery.
- Prepares work schedules and ensures all staff is rostered in accordance with business levels.
- Ensures all opening and closing duties are implemented in accordance with established standards.
- Administers requisitions: food store, beverage store etc.
- Handles all telephone calls courteously and efficiently.
- Maintains logbook.
Outlet Service
- Welcomes guests and assists in seating procedures.
- Supervises and participates in serving food & beverage according to standards.
- Knows table/seat numbering, takes orders and uses Micros system to input orders.
- Gives special attention to VIP tables.
- Assists the Host/ess in organizing reservations and table assignments.
- Establishes and maintains strong customer relationships and actively promotes repeat business.
In-Room Dining
- Sets up In-room Dining service area on time before service and according to standards.
- Keeps In-room Dining area clean and complete.
- Takes In-room Dining orders, assists guests with recommendations and up-sells to increase the average check.
- Inputs and settles order in the Micros system.
- Checks orders before they are sent to the room.
- Ensures trays and trolleys are collected timely and efficiently.
- Ensures all amenities are prepared according to requisition and standards.
- Ensures amenities are delivered, set-up and refreshed according to schedule.
Banquet Operations
- Ensures functions are set-up timely and in accordance with event orders.
- Communicate with kitchen with regards to dietary requirements and special requests.
- Ensures buffets are replenished for freshness and attractive presentation from beginning till end of functions.
- Assists team with daily functions and duties such as serving coffee breaks, set ups/tear downs.
- Ensures all signage at function entrance door is correct.
- Welcomes all organizers in the function room and offers assistance in the absence of the Banquet Operations Manager.
- Offers basic assistance with audiovisual equipment as needed.
- Ensure all daily changes are added to event orders and copies distributed as appropriate.
- Supervises dinners and cocktails, assisting Team Members wherever needed.
Cashiering
- Ensures charge-to-room checks are signed and the name matches with the room number.
- Ensures the validity of all credit cards.
- Processes all Officer’s Check, Entertainment Check and City Ledger charges in accordance with established policies & procedures.
- Properly records all sales of food and beverages.
- Prepares accounting for and handling of both the daily cash receipts as well as the Cashier’s House Fund.
- Properly completes the Remittance Report and remit receipts in accordance with accounting procedures.
- Properly completes the Restaurant Cashier’s Summary.
- Accounts for all guest checks issued.
- Accepts cash payments and makes correct change
**Salary**: RM2,200.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
