Assistant Manager Corporate Finance

Come be a part of this journey** **ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES** This role is part of GBS Corporate Finance Team. The primary responsibility of the role is to proactively support the delivery of Group Statutory & Management Reporting (actual financials) information and drive operational improvements. These informations will include Half Year, Fast Close and Year financial reporting. Operational improvements will include identifying key areas for efficiencies delivery in BAU results in a coordinated Direct Reporting Business Unit ("DRBU") model. **Reports to**: Corporate Finance Associate Manager **Reporting Level**: Lead Others : Team Lead **Goegraphic Scope**: Selangor, Malaysia **WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR** - Ensure that month end close activities, statutory and management financial reporting (actual financials) are performed on time and in compliance to SOx. - Support in external and internal audit engagements. - Point of contact for everyday activities which need end market to action on or clarification required by end market. Developing and build tools and assisting in automating processes, utilising innovative technical and processing solutions and maintaining complete and accurate Task Level Descriptions ("TLDs") and ensure any documentation is complying to SOx. - Coordinating with the Global Process Experts and other regional sites on the implementation of reporting changes, which includes submission of comprehensive business specifications where technology improvements are required, provided training and user testing resources to test improvements. - Review and validation of financial & management data handoff to highlight data integrity issues. - Understanding of functionality, interfaces, and interdependencies of the financial processes and systems; ensure the existence of adequate internal control. **CAN THIS BE YOUR FUTURE ROLE?** Are you experienced in SOx compliance, external & internal mid-senior stakeholder engagement and full financial exposure including analysis? - Are you a professional qualified accountant? **ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE** - At least 5 years of finance/accounting experience in global FMCG industry. - Possess high potential, strong technical and interpersonal skills. - Good command of English in verbal and written communication. - Effective communication skills, mentor and leadership skills and extremely dedicated. - An ability to work with all levels within the organisation & experience in managing senior partners. - Capable of analysing financial impact and providing insights to business strategies also understanding of strategy and financial management processes. - Able to demonstrate the need for, and ensure implementation of, appropriate systems and controls. - Minimum Bachelors degree in Accounting & Finance.
