**Purpose Statement**:
The AR Accountant develops and maintains protocols and procedures regarding Accounts Receivable and Revenue Accounting to uphold accurate financial information, minimize credit losses, and maximize collection achievement.

This role is responsible for various AR activities including credit risk analysis, establishment of credit lines and execution of collection strategies

In addition, the AR Accountant is to support on month end closing, statutory audit, corporate tax filing, internal audit and process improvement projects.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Maintains and update customer credit limit by conduct credit checks, credit risk analysis and establishment of credit lines
- Monitors customer account details for non-payment, delayed payments and other irregularities
- Manages debt recovery process to meet collection targets, and ensure timely follow-up with customers and Business Units
- Collaborates with others on the periodic review of accounts receivable balances, providing recommendations in resolving aged receivables
- Manages the creation and distribution of various reports to management and other department
- Works with shared service center on ensuring AR related transactions are recorded in timely and accurate manner, while adhering to the finance closing calendar.
- Performs recognition of bad debt and contractual reserves at month end
- Analyzes customer arrangements and transactions to ensure correct revenue recognition
- Reconciliation and clearance of balance sheet accounts
- Assists on external and internal audit and corporate tax filing
- Participates in the overall direction of Finance department and provide support with special projects assigned
- Handles other ad hoc requests and reporting as assigned by management

**_Requirements:_**
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5 years and above of working experience in accounting
- Good communication skills (English and Bahasa Malaysia)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and have the flexibility to handle various job assignments while prioritizing all assigned tasks.
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
