We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable (AR) Senior Executive to join our Finance team in a leading oncology services clinic. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate recording, reconciliation, and reporting of collections from patients, hospitals, and insurance partners.

This role requires strong analytical skills, a high degree of accuracy, and the ability to liaise effectively with both internal stakeholders and external parties such as insurers, hospitals, and patients.

The Opportunity

As part of the Finance & Accounts team, reporting to the Account Team Lead and Finance Manager, you will be part of the team responsible for accounting, financial controllership, and statutory/tax reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Banking & Collections

  2. Download and consolidate daily bank statements (HSBC, UOB, VAN reports).

  3. Trace and match incoming funds against patient accounts and clinical system records.
  4. Update the Bank Collection Master File for clearance and reconciliation.
  5. Investigate unidentified receipts and follow up for resolution.

  6. Medical Claims & Insurance

  7. Retrieve reconciliation reports from Medinet portal and update master records, including credit adjustments.

  8. Process and reconcile payments and receipts related to medical claims in accounting system.
  9. Coordinate with hospitals, third-party administrators (TPAs), and insurance companies on payment advice, discrepancies, and pending claims.
  10. Manage refunds and contra payments, ensuring accurate recording in the system.

  11. Accounting & Reporting

  12. Prepare daily collection journal entries across all business units.

  13. Perform monthly reconciliations of key accounts, including trade debtors, collections, and patient-related accounts.
  14. Support global payment updates and related journal entries.
  15. Assist with AR-related investigations and claim issue resolutions.

  16. Communication & Stakeholder Support

  17. Respond to patient and clinic enquiries regarding payments, receipts, or insurance claims.

  18. Liaise with internal teams and external partners to resolve collection or payment issues.
  19. Mail payment vouchers to patients as required.

  20. Audit & Compliance

  21. Participate in AR review meetings and provide reporting updates.

  22. Support yearly financial audit requirements and stock take exercises.
  23. Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.

Others

  • Participate in new system implementation and business initiatives
  • Ad-hoc duties assigned by Account Team Lead/Finance Manager

Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • 2–3 years of accounts receivable experience, preferably in healthcare, insurance, or service industries.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (experience with D365 and Plato is advantageous).
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent reconciliation and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills to interact with patients, hospitals, and insurance partners.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
